Diamond hole saw are very efficient as they only cut the circumference of the hole and not the mass of material.
There are some disadvantages: The drill being used must be capable of producing high torque at low speeds.
Core drills can bind with the dust especially if water is used - regular cleaning may be required during drilling.
The most important thing to recognise is the high chance of the bit causing a 'kick back' if it jams in the hole.
For this reason a drill with a handle or preferably a clutch mechanism is a good idea - especially if the drill is being used at height!

Diamond core drill bits (sometimes called diamond hole saws) are used to drill holes in brick, concrete, block, and stone and similar material.

They are ideal for cutting holes through walls for plumbing pipework.

Normally you will need to buy the Core Drill , an Arbor(to suit your drill chuck type - Hex or SDS+) and a Pilot Drill (to centre the Core Drill).
