Structure & Working principleThe lab rotary kiln is main composed of two parts, kiln body and controller. The kiln body contains the electric furnace body and the driving part.
The furnace body adopts the clay type round hearth in which 9 pieces of silicon carbide are averagely inserted in axial direction (Each 3 pieces form a group in series connection, 3 groups are connected in "Y".). The high Al type ceramic furnace tube is positioned in the inner circumferential of the silicon carbides which will generate high temperature to heat the furnace tube after connecting the electricity.
The driving part adopts a set of 0.6kw speed-adjustable motor. It drives the transmission shaft through gearbox and thus drives the furnace tube to rotate through the chain. A 3-gear gearbox is equipped between the feeder and transmission shaft, which makes the feeding amount to be adjustable. The motor and gearbox are equipped at the bottom of the furnace body, which make the whole structure to be compact.
All of the electronics of the rotary kiln is set in the controller. The electrical signal that detected by the thermocouple on the furnace comes into the controller, which makes the adjustable temperature and auto controlling to be realizable.
