Our diamond wires are assembled with or without springs and generally encapsulated with specialized rubber and or plastic. Rubber encapsulated diamond wires have also been adapted for cutting of slate, marble and sandstone. The advantages of rubber encapsulation are as follows:- The rubber is bonded onto the steel cable thus protecting the inner cable from the stone slurry which can cause the cable to snap in operation.
- Uneven water cooling of the diamond wire in operation can lead to plastic encapsulation softening and snapping which is avoided in rubber encapsulation as it has the ability to withstand higher operating temperatures.
- Rubber wires are generally more flexible thus lesser chances of the diamond wire jamming and reduces the risk of uneven wear on the diamond beads.
