Why you need battery-powered underground loader/scooptram/LHD?
Tethered electric LHD has existed for more than 50 years, diesel LHD even has a longer history. They are manufactured by Sandvil, Epiroc and many other companies. Therefore, the hard rock mining industry is familiar with them. But,diesel LHD and electrically techered LHD present many problems to the mine operator.
One of the key issues faced in operating heavy machinery in underground mines is DPM(diesel partucykate matter). When using diesel LHD, miners have to pay a lot to establish ventilation infrastructure.
